and MC’ing by DC Carlson.

Attendees will also be treated to a special skit put on by members of the Board to the “Banana Boat” song by Harry Belafonte.

Horticulture and Floral Design Shows

Promoting use of Hawaii's horticultural products is a major objective of floral design shows, and the Hawaii Florists and Shippers Association carefully selects the best shows to support for this purpose. We have done several highly successful shows and look forward to continuing our support for these events.

Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament

Our annual golf tournament is held in or around Hilo on the Big Island of Hawaii. This popular competition is open to golfers of all levels and offers contestants spectacular prizes as well as a great day of golf. The purpose of this tournament is to build our educational fund, which awards annual scholarships to students majoring in agriculture or horticulture and to raise community awareness of our fundraising efforts. Goodwill, networking and fellowship are the order of the day. 2003 Tournament

Shinnenkai Annual General Membership Meeting and Party

One of the highlights of the Hawaii Florists and Shippers Association's year is the Shinnenkai Party. It was held in the first quarter of the year, with the spirit being to welcome in the new year, the new members, and the incoming HFSA board of directors. It provided an excellent opportunity for networking and meeting other growers, shippers, and those who support the industry. It always features an extravagant menu, with celebrities and well-known guests. Prizes abound and fun for all is the primary agenda.
